Insight into careers in law enforcement

If you’re thinking of launching a career in law enforcement but want to learn about job possibilities within the field, our Police Foundations Program is for you.

The program begins with a strong foundational level geared to introducing students to law enforcement. You then go on to develop the specialized knowledge and skills you need to succeed in a variety of law enforcement professions. You will be taught by experts who have backgrounds in policing, justice services, communications, social services, and fitness.

Register now and join us for a 30 minute webinar featuring Lindsay Harris, Year 1 - Police Foundations program coordinator and professor at Algonquin College. Lindsay will be joined by two graduates of the Police Foundations Program: Ally Pross and Kurtis Ritz . Together they’ll show you how the Police Foundations Program can set you up for real-world success.

During the webinar you’ll learn about:

  • The hands-on learning experiences in the program
  • Industry connections and networking opportunities for Police Foundations students
  • Career opportunities (e.g.: municipal policing, OPP, RCMP, bylaw officer, customs and immigration officer, border guard, security work)
  • Pathways from this program to higher education and professional designations
  • Student success and where our graduates are working

The next start dates for the Police Foundations Program are January 2014 and Fall 2014.
